Project Wimbledon: Full House Renovation

Catherine and Kevin had bought a Victorian home in Wimbledon and were planning a substantial renovation, including extending the property and adding an additional room upstairs.

With demanding careers, a young family and an entire house of decisions ahead of them, they wanted someone to take the lead on the interiors and work alongside their architect to bring everything together.

They turned to our Full Works service for a clear design direction and expert support throughout the renovation.

Before

What we did

01.

Briefing & Concept

Catherine and Kevin had bought a Victorian home in Wimbledon and were planning a full renovation to create a home that worked for modern family life.

Working alongside their architect, we refined the layouts and developed a clear interior direction for the whole home, combining warm, natural materials, soft muted colour and contemporary touches while respecting the character of the property.

This concept set the tone and direction for the whole design.

02.

Design Development

We developed the interiors as part of the wider architectural plans, considering how each room would work individually while ensuring the whole home felt connected.

From layouts and joinery to lighting, finishes and furniture, every decision was considered as part of the bigger picture.

Warm neutrals, muted greens, natural textures and oak create a calm, characterful feel, while considered furniture, lighting and bespoke  joinery bring each space together.

03.

Project Management

Once the designs were developed, we continued working alongside the architect and wider project team as the renovation progressed.

We kept hold of the overall interior vision, resolving details as they arose and ensuring the layouts, joinery, lighting, finishes and furniture continued to work together.

We also sourced furniture throughout the home, taking another layer of decisions off Catherine and Kevin’s shoulders.

The Results

Catherine and Kevin now have a calm, characterful family home that feels cohesive from one space to the next. Thoughtful layouts make the house work better for everyday family life, while natural materials, soft colour and considered details bring warmth and personality.

The result is a Victorian home that feels sympathetic to its character while being completely suited to the way they live today.

The Impact

For Catherine and Kevin, the transformation wasn’t only about how the house looked. It was having someone they trusted to take the lead on the interiors and bring the many decisions together. What began as a house with plenty of potential now feels like their home.

As they put it:

“We absolutely love the work Sarah has done for us. The whole package has really made our house truly feel like home.”

What Catherine and Kevin have to say

“Would highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for interior design services. We were undergoing a full renovation of our newly bought house and the original rooms were very tired looking and many of the fixture placement were lacking in sense. We needed someone to sense check and redesign the interiors in the house to bring it up to modern spec whilst adding our touch to it. We went with a recommendation from a friend to Sarah and she completely transformed the house for us. In addition to this, she helped us pick out all new furniture. We absolutely love the work Sarah has done for us, the whole package has really made our house truly feel like home!”
